It was a good showing at the 2014 PCA Clash at the Glen. Over 40 Porsche 944s showed up to race in the 944 Cup at Watkins Glen. After spending the first two days learning a new track with Speedy Dan Clarke, I was able to qualify in P4 for Race 1. After a good start, I ended up finishing in first place.
Race 2 also went well. After making a pass in the Bus Stop in lap one, I held onto the lead for the rest of the race. Here’s a video of the pass I made…almost losing it after turn-in.
The guys at Accumoto Motorsports did a great job all weekend making sure I had a great car. We got really lucky during the enduro race….getting into the pits during a double yellow. We ended up bringing home a 1st place trophy for that race as well. Pretty good weekend in the Gear Tie Porsche 944S2!!
