22nd Annual 48 Hours at Sebring PCA Club Race Results

Over 60 Porsche 911 Cup Cars showed up at Sebring this year for the 22nd annual PCA Club Race.  Great weather, great racing, and “Cup Car Chaos” pretty much sums up the weekend.

Martinson took 1st place in the Friday night race in GTC3 class and also finished 1st in the 90 minute Enduro on Sunday.   Unfortunately, Martinson’s wins in both races on Saturday were taken away after it was determined that he had passed under a yellow flag.  “With all the “chaos” going on around me, I’m not surprised I missed the flag.  However, that’s racing…it was a mistake…and I had a blast!”.

In both Saturday sprint races, Martinson decided to start near the back and stay out of the turn 1 mayhem.  That decision resulted in some great in-car video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFrG3kA9slI “Working through traffic in both races was a lot of fun.  Spencer Cox and the SpeedSport Tuning crew did a great job of keeping the car safe and competitive all weekend.  I also want to thank Spencer Pumpelly and Dan Clark for some great coaching!”

Next up is the Pirelli World Challenge 2015 race at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX.
